WHRRL'S COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

The following Community Guidelines are intended to explain what it means to be a member of the Whrrl community. Violation of these guidelines in a public story could result in content removal or account termination.

What is the community like?

We want you to have fun telling and sharing your stories on Whrrl. At the same time, we want you and everyone else to feel comfortable in our community. Please review the list below of the things we do and don't stand for in the Whrrl community.

Here's what we stand for...

  • Have fun sharing your stories on Whrrl. Be creative, upload lots of photos and text and share with your friends.

  • Whrrl is a PG-13 community. Content should be appropriate for users aged 13 and older:

    1. Follow the rule of "would you talk to your mom that way" for public stories. If you wouldn't say that to your mom, then re-evaluate your content or simply refrain from posting.

    2. Also think about whether or not you'd like your mom to see that photo you're about to post. Is the content appropriate? Or is it meant to elicit shock value? If it's the latter, re-evaluate or refrain from posting.

    3. When making a story public, remember that everyone on the Internet can see it. They can send that story to someone, and that person can send it to another, and so on. Make sure the content and photos are appropriate for anyone to view.

  • Be kind to others. Not everyone will agree with the content of your stories, so please respect others' opinions. If they are crossing the line, please report that behavior to us.

If you think there is cause for concern, you can report offensive content and/or someone's behavior by emailing abuse@whrrl.com or by clicking "report this" on the offending comment or photo.

And here's what we don't stand for...

  • Harassing other users.

  • Posting offensive photos and text.

  • Nudity.

  • Breaking the law. Posts should comply with all applicable local, state, and federal rules, regulations and laws.

  • Violating copyright. Don't post something that's not yours or that you don't have permission to post.

  • SPAMMING. Keep your commercial content in your own stories.

And remember...

  • The story's author has the right to delete any and all content contributed to their story.

  • All content must comply with our Terms of Service.

  • We reserve the right to do what's necessary to protect and maintain the Whrrl community.
